About La Bonanza

Our Head of coffee

Will says:

Clean green apple flavours and acidity really show the quality of this coffee. Raisin, date and brown sugar flavours and sweetness follow on - creating a deep complexity. The mouthfeel is silky and the brown sugar aftertaste lingers gently on the tongue.

About the farmer

To Nasario Rodriguez Martinez, owner of La Bonanza, Tibacuy - where is farm is located - has the best climate in Colombia, both for coffee growing and for natural flora and fauna. It's even home to the nature reserve Cerro de Quininí.

That connection to nature is what motivates Rodriquez, and the many generations of his farming family - as they manage to produce quality coffee through working the land.

This coffee appeared in the final cupping stages of the Colombia, Land of Diversity competition, and took my interest. Clean green apples, raisins and date flavours come with a brown sugar sweetness - just delicious.
