The Royal Parks Half is around the corner, and we’re proud to be back as an official partner for the second year running. And once again, we’ll have Pact HQ runners on the ground.

Our runners know the feeling – those pre-race nerves, the excitement at the start line, the euphoria of finishing. And they’ve shared their top tips to help you on race day…

Will Sowerby, Content and Comms Lead

“If you’re planning on using gels, use them half an hour before you think you’re going to need one – it’s a great cheat code for powering through when the miles are stacking up.”

Sophie Dimblebey, Marketing and Events Coordinator

“Do a practice run with your pre-race breakfast, or if you’re planning on using gels. Don’t do anything new on the day apart from pushing yourself at the end!”

Giulia Pieri, Creative Lead

“Go easy at the start – it’s easy to go too fast too soon with the adrenaline from the crowd and the event, so try and keep your cool, pace yourself, and you’ll reap the rewards later.”

Katy Martins, CRM Manager

“Wear something to keep you warm at the start and pop it in one of the donation collection bins. Also, remember that the training is the hard bit; the course is your victory lap!”

Beau C-Copeman, Copywriter

“It’s a great route, so while it’s definitely important to finish with a time you’re happy with, you’d be missing a trick if you didn’t soak in the sights.”

Adele Lee, Growth Marketing Manager

“Wear something you’re excited to get out and run in. Funky trainers. New shorts. Or snazzy vests!”
