You will need:
  • Fresh coarse-grind Pact coffee (90g to a litre)
  • Cold filtered or bottled water
  • Cold brew jug
  • Drip scale
  • Tablespoon
Step 1

Measure out the required amount of coarse-grind Pact coffee, using a ratio of 90g to a litre. Put this into your filter.

Step 2

Put your filter into your jug and pour your required amount of cold water directly through the coffee.

Step 3

For the best balance, steep for 18 hours at room temperature. If you’re brewing in the fridge, extend the time to 24 hours. Avoid brewing for more than 24 hours to prevent ‘woody’ or bitter over-extraction.

Step 4

Keep tasting it every four to six hours until it’s to your taste. The longer you brew it, the more the intensity of flavour.

Step 5

Once it’s just right, remove the coffee grounds and serve or refrigerate.
